It's quite safe in Northern Pakistan because there were little Taliban attacks. Islamabad, the political capital, and Lahore, the culture capital, are safe as well. Although there are lots of rumors about Peshawar, but nothing happened when I was there. For those saying Peshawar is dangerous, I have to tell you that they have NEVER been three! Karachi is the biggest city and commercial center, I don't think it's more dangerous then Peshawar.
